New Heart!

No, not for me. But my sweet heart helped me to get a new heart for my mobile!  I was using it with a bulgy,  i-will-explode-now battery for a while. Its too quicky! Gets fully charged within 10 minutes! And will take twice or thrice the charging time to get empty!

The super-charge effect started after I put the mobile in running water ( yes, Drainage! ) and tried to study the laws of floating. Miserably I failed and my mobile started drowning. But thats when I started loving N73 even more! When the mobile was dry , it woke up without a complaint! Only the battery felt like it got his belly full with water. Poor thing!  For one month, it had no problem , except little bit of moisture in and around the battery compartment after prolonged use. I guessed it as sweat from the battery who was working hard to keep up with my non stop conversations.

After one month , backup started decrementing. I had to reshedule my routines to accommodate more time for battery charging. Once in two day ceremony changed to once in a day and later to twice and thrice a day! For the last few weeks, it was once in an hour! Lucky that I have a charging point right next to my desk in office so that Rahman and Linkin Park can sing for me through my mobile while I work.

But after work hours, the issue got serious! Riding bike is almost impossible for me if there is no music in my ears or some one special has to speak to me :) So finally after convincing the some one special by switching off my mobile even when it had charge ( Tada!! ) , she gave me money to buy a new battery! :D Cant exactly say ‘gave’  as she still believes that she ‘lent’ it to me! What ever it is, I got a new battery! :) A shiny new one!  Now back to once in two days charging !! :D

Back Into Blogging

For several months I kept my hands away from blogging. Reason?? I am not sure about what exactly caused this, but since my last post was just before I got the job, I think its something related to it. May be the lack of time. I was also busy with several other projects and job. Had to help my friend in starting his company (Not final yet) which I think , I wont be a part any more.  I have some tag posts like this and a lot more to be completed first! :)   So from now on I’l be active blogger again.

A few update since I stopped blogging :

  • I switched to a new domain , and a new host. The blog.Fluids.in was changed to srijithv.com/blog. I was having a long desire to have a domain in my name. A lucky chap already took srijith.net/com and org.
  • The old fluids.in domain will now host my photo albums, as “Fluid” was my nick on Flickr. Its not ready yet , but will be live soon.
  • I got a Job! :D I am now working as developer in Gridzone

I thinks thats all the things worth mentioning :) .

Tidy Museum

As they says – Start was Perfect , Now we need to keep the momentum. A perfect start was made by TidyCity team by cleaning up the entire Museum compound. Though we werent able to make 100% cleanup, the area we covered(almost 3/4th ) of the entire compound were litter less! You can read a detailed report by Cris here.

A few points to share from this attempt :

  • Apart from a few, people normally wont care whats going around them .
  • Those who care, after giving a what-on-hell-they-are-doing look, come and ask what exactly is happening.
  • I could see their urge to escape from the conversation, as soon as I says come and join us!
  • Even if there is a trash bin within walkable distance, people generally prefers to throw some disturbing wastes such as used  baby diapers to the nearest bushes. (Yes we found nasty number of them near lawns !! )
  • No matter, how strong our rules are, people still uses public places for drinking alchohol and throw away empty(one thing they make sure of! ) bottles .
  • Childrens! They sets an example to their elder generation by taking part in our attempt .
  • Government services are understaffed! They dont have enough cleaners in Museum to cover the entire campus. (Words from Museum Officials ! )
  • Most common kind of  litter were pan covers!
