Hullo writers!

I am looking for people who can write articles about Trivandrum. Not for free! But a qualified post will give you 50 Rs. Thats not at all! The best post of the month will be given a surprise prize too! Criteria for qualification.

1. Must be original! ( Obviously! But you are free to write ‘based’ on a news article, but you have mention the source.

2. A post must have an associated picture. Its not necessary for you to have a picture of that particular incident/news which you are narrating, but a picture which suits to the theme of the post is necessary. You are free to use photos from flicker and post a link to the source at the end of the post.
http://www.flickr.com/search/advanced -> Make sure that you check the three check boxes at the bottom of this page.

3. Maximum of 7 posts from an author for a week. Payments will be made on weekend (saturday/sunday)

4. Posts must be creative, true, ‘new’ and interesting.

5. You can post about the upcoming events/functions in Trivandrum. But that wont be counted as a valid post. But frequent updates on such events helps our site’s growth. So do it!

Thats all! And feel free to refer any of your friend who can write!

I just happened to see this issue among a few bloggers and a “reputed” website. This “reputed” company which many of you know and many others may be “proud” members of it is www.kerals.com and the bloggers include many malayalam bloggers. I am not familiar with malayalam bloggers or their blogs, but i have a respect to them for publishing contents in my mother tongue, which i failed to do. I read them once in a while. And during such a rare visit to one of the Malayalam Blog, i found this surprising issue. You can find the details here,

http://myinjimanga.blogspot.com/2008/06/stealing-threat-cyber-stalking-abuse.html

I request every one to read it and show some kind of support. Its not an issue with two individuals. I dont even know who she is or i havent been to her site before. But this particular incident is so touching and thats why i am posting it here. Also, I am going to post this post to my non-personal blog (Which has a fair readership) for giving much popularity as this matter deserves much more attention. Think about some one abusing your own sister or mother in a public road. And what will be your reaction? This issue is much higher than that. Internet is a public place where once said ‘can’ stay there for long. Posting with her blogger id on porn sites , starting websites with hr blogger id ( http://injipennu.com/ – which is as of now suspended) , and creating email spoofs are enough to qualify as a serious crime.

Please read more about this issue :

I was going through my routine blog dose and found this interesting post in The Bike Chronicles of India by Payeng , which is undoubtfully the most repected biking blog in India.

He points to the news of yamaha launching liter class bikes in India ( yea..start dreaming!!) .But the thing is , they bring it as CBU(Completely Built Units) which is almost equal to the price given to an imported Bike. So , we Indians ,with our roads and our pockets, and ofcourse our traffic, mind to pay 1 milion rupees for getting a super bike ? As payeng says,

“I have to get married, buy a house, have kids, save for their education, buy a car and save for my retirement..!! From where the hell can I afford the 10 lakh needed for the R1..??”

Its not that i am that old,(just on my early 20s) , but i know how hard it would be for me to spend out 10 lakh bucks for a bike.(Unless i win a jackpot any soon!) . I know how hard it is to earn enough for a decent life. I know how harsh it would be to ride a CBR to a party after sending my family in a cab.

Then , what if the japs starts building super bikes here in India? I mean, if they can sell a 1000cc bike for 4~5 lakhs, would it be a nice idea to buy it? Yes, it is. Only if the roads here become to a better state. What should i do with a 1000cc between my legs and never get a chance to utilize atleast 1/4th of its power? Just like Payeng said, i will opt for 250cc Twin for my commutes than a liter class bike in my garage.

Few days back , i found another blog post by rearset who is the one who brings the latest scoops in indian biking industry. He says

...I’d rather ride an R1 slowly through
a pothole than not ride one at all…

I am not offending him. But whats the difference between riding an R1 slowly through potholes and a Platina in similar roads? Apart from the drooling stares you get , in both cases your bikes get damaged and the adreline is almost zero. And for a platina a bend fork or damaged shocks will set you back by a 1000 bucks. But for an R1? Think guys …THINK!

I would also suggest you all to pay a visit to this blog post by first_synn . As he says ,

if any one can give me a 1000 CC bike that looks like Eva Longoria on two wheels, with 100 BHp of raw power and 100KM/l mileage and price it at Rs 50,000, I shall WORSHIP you and drink the water that washes your feet.

OK, I’ve had with you people. You know who you are. Yeah, you’re the people hu tipe like dis. You’re the people hU tInK ItS cOoL 2 tIpE lIkE tHiS aLl ThE tImE!!!!!!!

Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

Just because we’re on the internet does not mean that you can forget everything you know about grammar, spelling, language, or just plain old ****ing LOGIC AND COMMON SENSE. Seriously, folks, is this really necessary? It actually takes longer to write in alternating caps, and you look like a ****ing retard when you intentionally misspell everything. Now, I’m not talking about using internet slang. Sure, it’s a lot easier to write “lol” than “man, that was hilarious”. And that’s fine. It’s also easier to write “g2g” instead of “I have to go, see you later”. But those are mostly used in Instant Messaging. My problem is with the bloggers, and reviewers. My problem is with the blogspot and Mouthshut users who think that it’s cool and hip to write like a ***ing six year old. Well, I have news for you people:
iTs NoT kEwL!!!!! K RITE?????!?!?!?!
So, here’s my plea to you all. Write in whatever language you speak, and write properly, because chances are you’re intelligent enough to. But that may be pushing it.
